Rental Information

Rental Rates – Carson Ellis Room – Capacity – Seated 130 Standing 250

PRIME TIME – Friday from 5pm through to midnight Sunday, weeknights from 5pm – any 4 – 8 hour rental

$260.00 plus $100.00 damage deposit

Short Term Prime Time – 3hrs or less

$35.00/hr + $100.00 damage deposit

Weekdays til 5pm

- hourly Hall Rental

$25.00/hr or any part thereof plus $100.00 damage deposit

Regular Renters

-E.G. groups who rent the hall for 1 or more hours on a weekly or regular basis

$20.00/hr or any part thereof, any damage incurred to be billed to the renter

Long Term Rental Agreements (from 6 months to 1 year)

Punch may be served until the bar is opened.  Punch Bowls will be provided by the renter.  Purchase of a $25.00 Special Occasion Permit allows renter to provide wine to be served with a meal, but it must be opened by the bartenders.  Corkage charges will apply.  The wine bottles must be removed from the tables when the bar is opened after the meal.  W.C.C. will purchase all other alcohol to be served from the bar, for which a license must be purchased.  W.C.C. will handle all bar needs, and proceeds from the sales become the property of the W.C.C.  All above arrangements must be made at the time of signing the contract.

A small meeting sized room is also available for rent @ $15.00 / hr.  Tables and chairs will be provided.  A Coffee / Tea trolley is available for a further $5.00 fee.

Rental Conditions

  1. A 50% deposit is to be paid on booking.  The damage deposit is to be paid when the balance of the rental is due, no less than 30 days in advance of the booked date.  If the renter books less than 30 days prior to the event, the entire rental amount and damage deposit is due immediately upon booking.
  2. NSF cheques will result in the current bank processing fee being charged to the renter.
  3. Cancellations must be made a minimum of 60 days in advance of the booking date or the deposit will be forfeited.  The penalty for cancellation of bookings mad less than 60 days in advance will be handled on an individual basis.
  4. The damage deposit will be returned to the renter within 2 weeks provided the building has been left in the same condition as when rented.  Any damage in excess of $100.00 will be an additional responsibility of the renter and must be paid upon receipt of the repair invoice.

 Details

  1. Included in Evening / Weekend Rental Fee – Coffee / Tea Trolley with coffee makers, kettle and teapot; Tables and chairs, table coverings if desired.  Use of fridges.  One microphone and Speaker.
  2. Coffee Trolley etc. available at the cost of $5.00 for shorter rentals.
  3. Not included in rental fee:  use of stove, dishwasher, dishes, cookware, utensils, cutlery, glassware (other than those provided for bar drinks).  Exceptions to this will be only at the discretion of the Board of Directors.  Please ask if you wish to see the price list.
  4. The Hall may be decorated the day of the event at no extra charge providing the hall is not already in use.  Decorations are not allowed to be hung on the walls.  No scotch tape is to be used to attach decorations to door frames or stage.  All decorations must be removed after the event, and all garbage placed in the containers provided and taken out and put into the bin in front of the building.

 Non Profit / Charitable Organizations

  1. Events to raise funds for Community Members in crisis will be no charge at the discretion of the Board of Directors.
  2. Community information meetings will be no charge subject to availability and at the discretion of the Board of Directors.
  3. Supervised youth groups can hold meetings at no charge in exchange for performing odd jobs for the Centre on occasion, or sharing 10% of fundraising events held in the centre.  Also subject to availability and at the Board’s discretion.
